Practice writing test!

My story is about the mystery forest, We have made stories about the photo's that our teacher has gave to us. This was a practice test because our real test was coming up so we kept practicing.

The mystery forest…

As I glanced to see what time it is my watch was gone, As I stood up to see where my friends were nobody was there, All I saw was a mystery forest with no sun shine to know where I’m going but a big dark shadowy place. I wondered where did all my friends disappeared too. Where is everybody? Where did they go? I Petra

was lonely by then and nobody was there. The forest was as scary as I thought there were spider webs every where and you couldn’t even  barely see anything. The trees looked like it was trying to tuck away.

I saw a very bright light which caught my attention I walked towards it with excitement wondering this is my way out of here. Once I took one step on the light a magical book appeared wondering where it came from….I opened the book then strange voices had got weirder and weirder it said “once you’ve opened this book you will never be able to get out of this land unless you’ve beaten and get rid of the creatures who own this land. I shutted the book and went for a walk around.  There was nothing but some creepy things that scared me of like skeletons, spiderwebs, scary statues and seriously many more.

I was so afraid to walk around but I still tried my best not to be afraid because I will never get out of this land. As I was walking someone screamed Ahhhhhhh! I ran towards the echoing sounds and there it was a big scary creature that looked so weird I was about to laugh, I didn’t laugh because he was trying to devour somebody up, Once he turned around I saw a little child it was a girl. I distracted the creature then I ran towards an grabbed the little girl by the hands and took off as fast as we could. Crazy creature constantly can't control!!!

We ran and ran until we caught a little cottage built in the trees. We opened the door and walked in we saw a comfy couch where we went and sat at and a little with fruits on top… I asked the little girl what her name was she said “Emma”. Where are you from Emma? She said I’m lost and I don’t where I’m from. I told her ‘Well if you are lost you could live with me but once we get out of this creepy place okay. She nods… I told her ‘Let’s have some rest before we go back out side okay. As I laid down it felt like I haven’t went through all these scary problems and it felt like I've just fainted and couldn’t get up.

When I woke up a bright sun shined through in my room and everything was clean. It looked just like my room, My room was clean and the Emma wasn’t there. I thought to myself this was just a silly dream of mines and that will never happen again. I walked out of the room went straight to the kitchen had a nice cup of milo and stayed safely ever after.

Today is a day to celebrate halloween, Halloween is one of the exciting upcoming celebrations ever. It is very fun and exciting seeing all these weird, funny, cool and costumes.

Celebrations!

Birthdays	In my group Amelia,Bruce,Falakiko and I celebrates a birthday.	Amelia:She likes to blow her cake and eat it all and she love sing happy birthday with her family. Falakiko: He like to eat all of the cake even doe it's not my birthday. Bruce:He likes to  eat cake,get presents eat and say a speech	Bruce,Amelia and October likes hanging out with there family and there friends as well.	Amelia: She likes to eat all of the nice food at her birthday party. Falakiko: He likes to open all of his presents. Bruce:He like his birthday because his friends always come over and and celebrate with him
Christmas	In my group October,Amelia,Falakiko and Bruce celebrate christmas	October: Design a christmas tree and buy presents to put under it. Falakiko:Make a christmas tree,Buy presents to give and receive.	Falakiko and Bruce light off fireworks,Pray and go to church.	Falakiko: He likes getting presents. October:Receiving presents. Amelia: Opening presents and eating treats. Bruce: Giving and receiving presents and also spending time with family.
New Year	In my group Bruce, Falakiko and october.	Falakiko & October: Go to restaurant and have a nice feed. Bruce: Stays up all night till 12:00 then light up heaps of fireworks.	Falakiko: Say a love card to my family. October: Hangs with families and friends. Bruce:	Falakiko: Going to church praying and singing. Bruce: Hanging out with my family and sleeping. October: Going to a restaurant with my family.
White Sunday	In my group Bruces,Amelia,Falakiko	Amelia:Wears a white dress and say a speech. Bruce:By wearing all white and going Church. Falakiko:By wearing all white too and going to church and pray.	Amelia:Going and have a nice feed and go to valentimes. Falakiko:Praying to god to help my family. Bruce:I go to church and have a festivities there.	Amelia:saying her speech and having a big feed after. Bruce:Having a feed. Falakiko:Going to church and having fun with my family.

Diwali

Why do we celebrate diwali?

We celebrate diwali because it’s a light festival and to celebrate good over evil and light over dark.

                                                                       

What do you do when you celebrate diwali?

You meet people, you talk to them, see a lot of candles and people in their new costumes.

What do you see when you celebrate a diwali?

You see cool things like photo’s, candles, people and diwali pictures.

What games do you play when it is your diwali?

Cool games, culture activities and many more.

What do you want to do when it is our diwali day?

I want to play games, have free time and make diwali pictures.

What food shall we make for diwali day?

Biscuits, chips and milkshake.

What other things would you like to do on the diwali day?

Come in mufti, play lots of fun games and eat food.

Technology

Technology!!

Last week thursday 27th october, I went to technology and we made blueberry muffins.It was pretty had getting the ingredients and knowing what equipments to use but after all it looked fine. I tried my best and it came out looking alright.

Ingredients:

• Plain flour
• Baking powder
• Sugar
• Egg
• Milk
• Vanilla essence
• Blueberries

Equipments:

• Measuring cups
• Measuring spoons
• 2 bowls
• Muffin tray
• Dessert spoon

Here are the methods of how to cook blueberry muffins.

Step 1: We got all our equipments out and our ingredients.

Step 2: We mixed the dry ingredients up, Plain flour and Baking powder.

Step 3: We mixed our wet ingredients. Milk, vanilla essence, cooking oil, sugar and egg.

Step 4: We mixed the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.

Step 5: We used the desert spoon to scoop the ingredients into the muffin tray.

Step 6: We waited for the blueberry muffins to be cooked.

Step 7: We had nice blueberry muffins.

Diwali

WALT: make an celebration invitation.

Last week for Tuakana Teina we had to make invitation, My buddy was Lynch and our celebration topic was diwali. Diwali is a celebration held every year. Diwali is a celebration to celebrate good over evil and light very dark. Lynch's invitation is about diwali and if your in room 3 you are invited to Lynch's celebration. Good luck!!

How can we make Tamaki a better place?

At our school we have new school uniforms, On our uniforms it says 'Follow the right path, Well our teacher don't really know what it means so do we... 

Today our teacher put us into groups, Our first question was 'What makes Tamaki special? Something that makes Tamaki special is that we have Teachers/Students to communicate with, Sports, Celebrations, Language weeks, Breakfast and many more. 

Our next question was 'How can we make Tamaki a better place?  Well at Tamaki we need to stop tagging, Rubbish needs to be picked up, Students not fighting, Build new class rooms and many more.

Technology reflection!

Today for technology we made macaroni & cheese. I paired up with my bestfriend Ajani and Jennifer. Today we made macaroni and cheese. Here are the ingredients and equipments.

Kiwi can

WALT: reflect on our day at kiwi can.

Today for kiwi can our greeting was Hola is a greeting from spanish. Our energizer is was noodle soccer, Noodle soccer is a activity used with a ball and the swimming long noodle and you use the noodle to whack it in your goalie.

It was very cool versing other people. Next our activity was making up room 10 chants, so we splitted up into 3 groups.

Kiwisport Basketball Reflections

Today for our first session at kiwi sport we had to do basketball, Basketball was very cool because we had very cool activity ... First we started with running forward and backwards, stepping, dribbling, bouncing the ball, tricks with the ball, Chest pass, overhead pass, bounce pass and shooting.

It was very fun thanks to our two coaches that I've forgotten their names.
